What to Verify Before You Order RFID Casino Chips
- Reader hardware and protocol. Confirm the frequency and tag protocol your readers expect. Macaumr RFID chips are supplied for 13.56 MHz / ISO 15693 environments, and mismatched hardware is the most common cause of a failed pilot.
- Read performance under real conditions. Test stacked, face-down and racked chips, and near metal. Ask for a written acceptance criterion — a defined read rate under named conditions — rather than a headline “chips per second” figure.
- Identity and security. Confirm that each chip carries a unique, non-repeating identifier, and decide how an unrecognised or duplicated identifier should be handled at the cage and on the table. Decide who controls any keys or encoding data. On the floor, verification is covered by the portable RFID chip reader.
- Physical construction. Specify diameter, thickness, weight, edge profile, mould design and inlay position with tolerances rather than nominal values.
- Materials and regulatory documents. Request the material and compliance documentation your destination market requires. A general quality-system certificate is not gaming approval — if your jurisdiction requires equipment testing, confirm that separately.
- Sample and pilot before production. Approve an artwork mock-up for custom designs, and validate a pilot batch against your own readers before a full run. A visually correct chip can still fail if the tag or antenna is incompatible with the system.
