Clay poker chips are the benchmark for casino table feel — the weight, the sound and the way they stack. The chips in this collection are clay composite: a compression-moulded body built around a metal core, which is how professional casino chips achieve a consistent weight across a full set rather than varying from chip to chip.

Clay, ceramic, acrylic or composite — which is which?

The difference that matters when specifying a chip set is the body material and what it does to the feel and the print options.

  • Clay composite — a moulded body with a metal core. The classic casino weight and sound, with edge spots pressed into the chip rather than printed on it. Best for traditional gaming floors and poker rooms.
  • Ceramic — heat-transfer printed across the full face, edge to edge, with no design limit. Flatter and smoother than composite, with the strongest full-colour print fidelity. See ceramic poker chips.
  • Acrylic — four-layer lamination giving a crystal translucency. The most modern look, available as round chips and rectangular plaques. See acrylic poker chips.

What can be customised?

  • Denominations — any value structure, from a standard cash-game set to a tournament ladder.
  • Edge spots — the insert pattern around the rim. Spots are part of the mould, not a print, so they hold their definition through play.
  • Colours — matched to your existing floor sets or set fresh.
  • Inlay and logo — the centre artwork carrying your property brand, printed to the denomination range.
  • Anti-counterfeit options — UV ink, laser-etched serial numbers, holographic labels, or an encrypted RFID inlay.

Do you need RFID in the chip?

If the floor needs chip-level authentication and automated inventory, the

RFID poker chips in this collection carry an encrypted inlay read at 13.56 MHz HF. They are read by the RFID chip readers — the cage board authenticates batches of up to 100 chips at the counter, while the handheld terminal puts verification in a supervisor’s hand on the floor.

An RFID project only works if the chip, the reader and the cage software are specified together. Macaumr confirms the full workflow — chip inlay, reader placement, software integration — before production starts, because a chip that reads correctly in isolation can still fail once it meets your existing cage system.

Ordering clay composite poker chips

Send the denomination structure, the quantity per denomination, the artwork for the inlay, and any anti-counterfeit requirement. Macaumr confirms the mould and print specification, then issues a quotation with the lead time.

Minimum order quantity depends on the chip configuration and the number of denominations, and is confirmed per project in the quotation. Reference units are available for a non-refundable sample fee so the weight and feel can be checked before a full order is placed.
