What are RFID clay composite poker chips?
Clay composite chips are produced by compression molding a blend of clay powder and synthetic binders, which gives the chip its characteristic weight, sound and tactile response. The RFID version adds an inlay inside the chip body during manufacturing, so the identifier is part of the chip rather than a label applied afterwards.
Each inlay carries a unique encrypted digital identifier. Compatible readers positioned at tables, cage windows and other points on the floor can read that identifier, which is what enables real-time chip tracking, instant counterfeit detection and automated inventory management across tables.
How does chip-level tracking work with these chips?
The chip answers when a reader interrogates it, and the software matches the identifier to the authorized chip record. At the cage, the RFID chip reader board verifies and processes payouts without manual counting; on the floor, RFID gaming tables read the betting positions during play.
Lost or stolen chips can be deactivated and traced, and operators can see chip flow, table inventory and cage balances from the same records. The chip is produced for the frequency and protocol of the system it will join, which is why the reader and the chip are specified together.
